Random Decisions

Choices are the hinges of destiny. ~Attributed to both Edwin Markham and Pythagoras

Who is Edwin Markam again? I'm going to have to go look... I attended Edwin Markam Junior High, so you'd think I'd know.

Anyway....

Okay... so, I took Judy's suggestion of letting fate choose what I work on. I went to Random.org and put in the four in progress WIPs and for fun, I added the Harlequin American I want to work on this year. It's only in the planning phases, though I have my hero and heroine fairly fleshed out as well as the conflict and how the story begins (in fact, I've written the beginning).

So, I typed them in and hit "randomize" and this is what popped up:

1. HQ American
2. Queen and Assassin
3. Camilla
4. Stiller Creek
5. Playing House

So. Hmmm...

Truth is, I find that terribly interesting. With the exception of wanting to bump Stiller Creek up above Camilla, I rather like the order. I'm going to take the rest of this month to finish my character interviews and do at least 20 scene cards for the HQ American (working title will be The Hammer... don't ask). Then, come April 1st, I intend to give it a NaNo-like intensity. I'll need at least 55,000 words for HQ American. I may allow two months instead of one--so, 1000 words a day--but that's the plan, Stan (and the rest of you).

========================

Speaking of Judy, today is her BIRTHDAY!! Woo Hoo!!!! She's only 87 years-old. Doesn't she look great?

I don't know if she plans on posting at her blog today, but y'all might take a second to wish her a happy birthday.

================================

Shhh.... don't tell anyone, but I think it might be a halfway decent day here in the NE. Sunny! Warm(ish) -- in the low 40s! NO WIND (I thought we were going to get blown away yesterday). They're calling for snow again on Monday (please, please let it be rain), but I'm going to enjoy today.

You Are a Cadbury Creme Egg

You're the type that stole little brother's easter basket so that you could have MORE CANDY!

Actually... I was the baby of the family, so I was the one who had her stuff stolen! Okay, not really... my older sibs were pretty okay. :-)

Wow, enjoy the GOOD weather! And my, Judy looks GREAT for 87! ;-)

Nice cake, too. I don't like the description of being a Cadbury Egg, but they are my absolute, all-time favorite, which is weird because I:

1. don't like milk chocolate, as a rule - give me dark, dark, dark!
2. don't like processed-type stuff, and what could be more processed than dyed cream made from corn syrup.

I'm glad that you're going to have some sunshine. I just don't know why they keep saying "snow".

Good luck with your writing; sounds like you have a plan.

I'm a Cadbury Creme Egg and I never stole candies from my siblings basket because they ate all of theirs long before I was halfway through mine.

Ooh, another March birthday celebrant. Love the cake.

Spread some of that sunshine my way, will ya?

What a fun way to pick what you write! For me it's determined by what deadline is closest. If there isn't one, I find it hard to write!

Happy Birthday Judy!

Happy Birthday Judy! May your day be blessed.

I was jelly beans. Which is wrong, wrong, wrong. I am not a big fan of jelly beans.

I think that was a neat way to pick what you'd work on next. The best of luck with everything involved with the Harlequin.

I hope you have a sunny warmish day! *G*

Happy birthday, Judy!!!

What a cool way to decide on a project! I may have to give that a whirl myself. :)

I Am Jelly Beans

For you, Easter is all about fun and sweet treats. None of that Jesus dying on a cross stuff!

Well, I don't agree with that second sentence, but I am all about the jelly beans at Easter. *g*

I am a Bunny Pop: It takes a whole lot more than three licks to get to your center. You cheeky bunny!

I like that....but what I really, really love are Cadbury's Mini Chocolate Eggs. I would give my right arm and first born for a bag of those right now. But, I am resisting, I am resisting, I am resisting. Because I said it 3 times, does that make it true?

Yay on having an order for your projects! And it's nice that you feel so good about the order (with that one exception). Now go write!

P.S. Happy birthday Judy

Well I can see why you want to move to Wa, we did have more snow this winter than we usually do but thankfully it left pretty fast!
It says I'm a Cadbury Creme egg, but it's the other way around my brothers always stole my candy!

I almost forgot... I hope Judy had a wonderful day filled with lots of yummy rewards. She does look good for her age.
