Friday Feast and Writing Woes

Appetizer

Given the choice, would you prefer to live in the country or in the city?

In the country, near the city... Kind of like I do now. I love the open space of the country, the relative peace, the opportunity to have big gardens and elbow room. But, I also enjoy the convenience of the city. Of being able to run to the store for milk, and not use half a tank of gas. Truth be told, though. If I couldn't live in the country near a city, I'd probably choose the city. My DH would be horrified.

Soup

Who is the cutest kid you know?

Well, duh. MINE of course. She's adorable, sweet and cute as a bug's ear. And, no, sorry....I don't post pix of her on my blog, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Salad

Fill in the blank: I couldn’t believe it when I heard music from my childhood on the oldies station.

Main Course

If you could star in a commercial for one of your favorite products, which one would you want to advertise?

I'm not really a brand specific kinda gal, but there are two things I buy that I am particular about (aside from, *ahem* sanitary supplies, but I won't go there, because I wouldn't star in a commercial for them...Remember Cathy Rigby and her Kotex commercials? Did I just date myself?). Anyway...

Silk brand soy milk. Yum. Yum. Yum. But it has to be Silk because I have yet to try another brand (especially the store brands--ICK) that don't have a bitter aftertaste. Silk doesn't.

And, Cottonelle toilet paper. Seriously the best TP ever. Thick. Soft. Yeah, baby.

Dessert

What type(s) of vitamins and/or supplements do you take on a regular basis?

Lots, lol.

Morning: Multi-vitamin, B-complex, St. John's Wort and Calcium.
Evening: Flax Oil, St. John's Wort, Calcium and, every third day I take Iron (because I don't eat red meat or nearly enough spinach).

No writing yesterday :-(

Fact is: I can't seem to settle on one WIP and I'm frustrated by that. Return to Stiller Creek, my mystery ... I'm tempted to just NOT write this scene right now and move forward. I've done that before in other works, just made notes of what happens and then moved on and addressed the scene when I go through for edits.

Playing House is in such desperate need of work, it isn't going to be easy. One of the problems is that I've changed how Tish gets her job so many times that there are references throughout the story that are flat out WRONG so many times...and it messes with the plot line and ... GAH.

Camilla's story... still can't figure out how I can get to happen what I need to happen without a POV break, and I HATE those. Jed's injury still has me a bit stumped AND since I wrote the whole rest of the book based on a much more severe injury originally, there is massive editing needed.

Queen and Assassin, my fantasy--it needs a huge amount of world-building. And, I want to do it. I do! But, I'm starting to get the shakes because I only have one story in submission right now.

What to do, what to do...

I did get finished reading through a friend's fantastic novel, so that's good. I'm buried in books to read for review... and that's *sort of* good. I mean, I like to read, but... I'm just so busy! I never thought I'd have too many books. Ha.

==========================

Sunny here today. That's good. Except it comes with cold temps and 50 mph winds. Why can't we just have A Nice Day?

Dakota is still not feeling well. She gets me up at least four times during the night, poor pup. I'm wiped out, though. I don't know what to do. We've changed her food to something completely different than before (over a month ago) and that seemed to be fine until this week. She's been wormed--twice--and put on a month long course of antibiotics. The vet is at a bit of a loss, and so am I. But, man, I hope something gets better soon, because I'm flat out exhausted.

You Are Scooter

Brainy and knowledgable, you are the perfect sidekick.

You're always willing to lend a helping hand.

In any big event or party, you're the one who keeps things going.

I'm Fozzie Bear....

"Wocka! Wocka!"
You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.
If only your routine didn't always bomb!
You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.

Put the names of the WIP on cards... shuffle them up... get the kid (or the dog) to choose one. Put the others to the side and work on the one fate sent you. :::shrugs:::: works as well as anything else.

I'm Animal... that I don't get.

Your To Be Worked On list resembles mine, including the fantasy that needs world-building. But today, when I go off to do laundry I'm bringing a notebook to work on my potential Blaze.

I'm still trying to picture you doing a Cottonelle commercial...

btw your book is on its way. Thanks again!

Good luck on your writing. I like Judy's suggestion on how to choose what you should work on.

I'm hoping to start writing again after Easter or at least when Sara and Amanda's break is over.

Appetizer: Countrified City which means I live on the fringes of the city that looks like country. Close to stuff.

Soup: Cutest kid(s) I know? Mine of course. My baby girl is 40 and my baby boy is 31...but they're still cute as buttons. They would kill me if they heard that!

Salad: I couldn't believe it when I hear my son enjoys classical music and wants to learn to play bass guitar.

Main Course: I'm branded when it comes to yogurt. I hate it all EXCEPT Yoplait Light Yogurt. The only kind I'll eat.

Dessert: Vitimins I take: Centrium Silver (if the age of my kids didn't date me, that definately did), Viactiv Calcium Chews and Glucosamine & Chondroitin.

Weather here in central NC today is partly sunny and 44 right now with highs in the 70s.

And according the the Muppet Personality Test, I'm Dr. Bunsen Honeydew: You take the title "mad scientist" to the extreme -with very scary things coming out of your lab. And you've invented some pretty cool things, from a banana sharpener to a robot politician.
But while you're busy turning gold into cottage cheese, you need to watch out for poor little Beaker!

Happy Easter one and all!

Well my test said I was animal, I don't think that fits.
Poor Dakota, thankfully he lets you know to go out but you must be exhausted Marianne. I hope he gets better soon.
Have a great weekend.

I'm sorry to hear that Dakota is still having problems.

I'm Scooter.

I like Judy's suggestion as well. My suggestion was to have your CP if you have one read your 3 stories and whichever one has the most potential to finish, then do that one.

Good luck with your writing.

It was 32 degrees when I left for work, hardly Spring to me.

Have a good Friday.

Of course your Daughter is the cutest kid ever to you! That's the way it's supposed to be!
How I ended up as Scooter I'll never know! *G*
Good luck choosing the WIP to work on, the critique partner pick sounds good.

Have a good day!

*hugs* on the writing frustrations!!!

You Are Animal

A complete lunatic, you're operating on 100% animal instincts.
You thrive on uncontrolled energy, and you're downright scary.
But you sure can beat a good drum.
"Kill! Kill!"

Oooo-kay.

I'd piggy back on Judy's suggestion that once you do pick one - stick with that one for at least a full week and see what happens. Sometimes I have to fall into the rhythm and voices of a particular story, and I would think switching might be part of the problem. Huge hugs!

I was the Swedish Chef. Yep, that's about right for the week. Enjoyed your Friday Feast.

Hugs on having too many projects. Sometimes, I'm paralyzed with the number of projects bouncing around in my head, on the hard drive, wherever...
