Late!

"I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" - The White Rabbit, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"

I am SO late this morning! I've not been sleeping well -- my hips ache something fierce, and they're worse than usual lately because I haven't been able to walk, so I toss and turn all night. Last night I tossed and turned, and at 2:30 a.m. finally moved to the couch (it's softer than the bed, and easier on my bones) and tossed and then... ahh... blessed sleep. But I slept through my cell alarm AND the coffee brewing AND the cat bugging me, so didn't get up until 6:15 a.m. !!!

Between all my morning chores, I'm only just getting on the computer.

A few things...

1. Ceri asked how I do the things I do. Ceri: I never stop moving, seldom do one thing at a time (the other night, I decided to spoil myself and sit and watch TV without a book or computer in my hand -- and after about ten mins I went NUTS, so grabbed my computer and started working, too) and frequently do more than two things (yesterday I baked cookies, washed dishes and cleaned the kitchen -- I mean, I have ten minutes between batches, I can't just sit and wait, can I?). I'm also very very big on to-do lists.

2. I'm going to do JaNoWriMo in January -- my goal will be to complete editing "Return to Stiller Creek" -- this is pretty major, since I'm changing the characters jobs around and have added two new characters and changed "whodunnit" in one case. Anyone want to join me, they are welcome. Set a goal and blog about it. Easy peasy.

And now... I need to go see why my DH isn't up. Have a great day!

Your Holiday Wish is Being with Family and Friends

The holidays are near and dear to your heart. You don't need much to make you happy this time of year.

As long as you're able to be near the people you love most, you are content. It's really that simple.

You want nothing more than a full house of people celebrating the season. It doesn't matter if it's your house or not, just as long as everyone is there.

And if someone doesn't happen to be around during the holidays, you think about him or her often. You get very sentimental this time of year.

Yep... that's spot on.

Holy cow. What did you do to get your hips to hurt so much?

Is it the joint or the hip bone itself?

I hope it's not serious. Stay warm, hon. I'm sure that cold doesn't help it any.

I'm so sorry to hear about your painful hips. I have some pain with mine, but you are so much younger than I am. Hope you get some rest tonight.

Take care.

Well, I always have a book with me when I'm watching tv and can't fastforward through commericals (currently reading Barbara Delinsky) and I generally will wash dishes while making breakfast though now my girls are old enough I've handed off the dishes to them.

I would love to have a decent laptop so I could work on it while watching tv but I don't think our budget is going to support one this year.

Looking forward to Janowrimo. I'll be editing too.

Aww, sorry to hear about your hips aching. I hope that you find comfort soon.
Like you I find it hard to sit still sometimes and will do several things at once.
As for the quiz: Your Holiday Wish is Peace on Earth: You don't need anything personally during the holidays. You're not the materialistic type.
All you ask for is a little peace. At home, while you're out and about, and for the world at large.
You believe that there's too much human suffering and pain. And you're doing what you can to change it.
It just wouldn't feel right for you to focus on presents. You think the holidays are so much more than what's under the tree.

Actually, pretty close to true.

I hope you feel better soon, HUGS!
