I took the dog out for her peewaddle (as my mom calls it) this a.m. very early. There I was, admiring the big, fat full moon. There she was, squatting and doing her business. And then, from the woods we heard a fisher cat scream. And scream. And scream.
For those of you who missed my last fisher cat experience, here is what they sound like (it's not the first bark, it's the noises after):
Now... picture this at 4:30 in the morning, in the pitch dark when everything else is totally quiet.
Yeah. I think my heart is still pounding.

I joined GoodReads this morning. Not entirely certain how to use it for anything, but will futz around on it as I have time. I tried to send out friend requests, but may have missed folks, so if you want to be my friend (and why does that always sound so desperate?), my page is here: http://www.goodreads.com/profile/MarianneArkins
What do YOU do with GoodReads?
======================
That is all from here for now -- it's late and I need to go wake up my house! Have an awesome day.

You Are English |
You are easy to understand, and most people are able to communicate easily with you. You say things simply and clearly. You are flexible and not too hung up on rules or customs. You can go with the flow and change as needed. You can speak simply or you can exercise your vast vocabulary. You customize you communication style to whatever setting you're in. You are a very cosmopolitan and worldly person. If you like something from halfway around the world, you try to figure out a way to incorporate it into your life. |
Except for the cosmopolitan part, it's pretty close!

I'm on GoodReads, so I'll friend you. :) It drives me insane. Sometimes it'll post my updates on Facebook and other times it's like it wonders why I'm wasting my time reading whatever I'm reading and it refuses to tell anybody.
But it seems to love Dru. :)
I've heard of GoodReads, but have NO idea what it's used for. I remember your post about the Fisher cat. Scary thing. How did Dakota react?
I am English, too.
Have a good day!
LOL at Tori.
I'll goodread-friend you. I just list my books that I read and I also belong to several group (cozy mysteries and thrillers) where we talk about the latest books.
re quiz: I'm English.
I would have freaked out if I heard that scream at 4:30 in the morning.
I would have screamed right along with the cat! *G*
Love your tree, BTW.
Hope you had a great day.
