I knew it had to sooner or later...
I got a "poor" rating on Fictionwise. Ironically, it was on one my favorite stories, "The Christmas Curse".
I probably shouldn't be pointing out a "poor" rating, should I? I should pretend it didn't really exist. It's just...
Poor?
Really?
I'm not as upset as I am a bit mystified. "OK" I could understand. I've had "meh" reactions to books that other folks loved.
Oh well. Off to work on another story that will probably earn everything from "Great" to "Poor" ratings again!

I loved your story! I can't imagine why the reader didn't like it.
I just went to Fictionwise and my A Fiery Secret doesn't have any reviews. I never get any reviews so that's probably bad. I have sold books from this site so it's not for that reason!
Ah, welcome to the world of not-great reviews...what one person loves, another person hates :)
But you know what? That's the magic of writing - to know you're producing something that's out there, getting read and getting reactions, instead of dreaming about writing like SO MANY people.
Sorry about that. You're right, it had to happen sooner or later. Later would have been better.
WHAT??? I don't get that at all. Must've been someone having a really bad day. That story was adorable and clever!
Silly people. The world is full of them.
You know the old saw: you can't please everyone.
FWIW, that was my favorite story of yours so far. I thought it was funny and clever, and very sweet.
What Anno said.
Back in the day, when I was in the Army, we had an apt phrase for this sort of situation. Sadly, I can't share it and have your blog remain family friendly.
Just know I'm thinking it.
