Change of Plans

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential. ~Ellen Goodman

I know I said (yesterday) that I'd post resolutions today, but I'm not. I had planned to work on them yesterday -- I have a fuzzy idea, but wanted to get it down "in stone". Best laid plans, and all that...

Dakota was sick. Puppy puke was the order of the day... and when she wasn't vomiting, she was VERY VERY needy and wanted to be cuddled. So, if I wasn't shampooing the carpet and the sofa (yes, really) or mopping the floor, I was sitting with her curled up in my lap. We **think** she ate too much of the salt/sand garbage that they put on the roads when it snows. She was scarfing down the snow and ice on the side of the road yesterday while I was gabbing with a neighbor.

She seems okay this morning. Positively perky (and her perkiness began at 3 a.m., oh the joy!) so I'm glad for that. But, I didn't get a lot done yesterday.

I do have to admit, it was awful cute this morning -- it's snowing (again... and that's NOT the cute part), big, FAT flakes and Dakota was standing on the deck with her mouth open, trying to catch them... Awww...

And, since I'm talking about her, I'll give you the Daily Dakota. For such a little thing, she can sure take up the entire sofa!

==============================

I got a cover from an artist at Samhain for "One Love For Liv". No, I'm not sharing it, yet, because I can have some input into this and may take it. But, it's a good start... It took me forever to open the file, though. I was scared to DEATH. LOL...

You Had an Average Year

While you had some setbacks, your year also brought some good things.
All in all, things mostly evened out. That's just how life works.
Focus on what went well for you - and what you can improve.
A new year is a perfect reason to give yourself a fresh start!

I hope Miss Dakota continues to behave herself by ingesting snow and not salt/garbage. What a cutie, though!

Good luck with the cover. I wish I got input other than the basic AFS form!

I always post my resolutions on January 1. Gives me more time to figure out what they should be!

Hugs to Dakota!
