Wednesday Wind-Down...

"The one thing sure about politics is that what goes up comes down and what goes down often comes up." - Richard Nixon

So, I have to say I'm disappointed at the results of yesterday's primaries. Oh well... on to Michigan.

You CAN make a difference with your vote--you can vote for me in the P&E polls for best short romance. "The Christmas Curse" and "Pregnancy Cravings" are both up there. Thanks.

================================

The weather here was GORGEOUS yesterday. 50-ish and sunny. Snow is melting, flies are springing to life. I think that is amazing... we get one warm day, and the bugs awaken. I don't understand how it happens, to be honest. I looked to see how houseflies overwinter, and apparently it's in their larval stage in a pile o' poo somewhere... But isn't all that poo underneath our three feet of snow? So, why is the front of my house peppered with houseflies? ((scratches head)) It's a mystery.

I worked quite a bit on my edits for "A Change Of Heart" yesterday... I did all the easy stuff first. Now I have to go back to the little comment bubbles where the editor has challenged me to fix some stuff that isn't so easy. Still, I think I might even get it done today! Woot!

Sadly, that is the last thing I have in submission (Bad, Bad me), so I need to get on the ball and get some more stuff out there.

Hey! ... if any of you out there reading this are published with companies other than TWRP and Samhain, I'd really like to hear about your experiences (I've seen work from places like Linden Bay, Black Lyon, Highland Press, Freya's Bower, etc... and have been pretty impressed by the quality).

You Are More Yin

Feminine
Devoted
Forgiving
Fall
Winter
Afternoon
Moon
Time
Passive
Metal
Honey

Um... NO. I HATE Fall and Winter... I am NOT passive, nor am I terribly forgiving (one of my worst faults). I fall asleep in the afternoons... Oh well...

Hmm... well I know who you didn't vote for.... LOL But I'll leave it at that. I had my own voting snafu and was signed up with the wrong party (I'm an independent) and since I can't change my party affiliation the day of the primary I refused to vote. But I got that straightened out and I'll cast my vote in November.

I'm just glad that it's over for NH. Now they can come take their signs down!!!

Our Michigan votes hardly count - we lost 1/2 our delegates by moving up the primary and the Dems messed up and I believe Clinton, Dodd and Biden are the only ones on the ballot. If we want anyone else, we're supposed to vote for "uncommitted" delegates, who might or might not support our candidates. How stupid is that?

And my "counting" votes are in, M.!

Ceri, what happened to you happened to a lot of folks, I've heard. Too bad!

Jen, that's SO WEIRD. Is the Republican ballot equally screwed up? And, we lost a bunch of our delgates, too. Sheesh...

I got the same thing on the Yin/Yang thingy. And I hate winter too.

Speaking of which, storms are heading east. Just so you know.

Glad you had nice weather! Sorry the primary didn't go the way you wanted. At least your votes count! By the time they reach us, things have usually been decided!

Same here - our primary isn't until March. I was pleased with the one party's selection yesterday.

They (political) are setting up for our Primary here now. Fun. I hear you on the nice weather. It's a bit weird for it to be 70 degrees outside right now and it's JANUARY!
Dakota is just adorable. *g*

I am Yin as well, although most is correct, I prefer wood to metal. *g*
Have a good day!

I got Yin, but I'm not a winter person, what happened to spring that's me and I'm a morning person I hate afternoon.

Today was beautiful, I know it's not going to last.

I was Yin too... I think somebody needs to rethink that quiz.

It's always hot, hot, HOT here and then suddenly it pours! Oh well...

I got Yin too and I don't quite agree with the analysis. I agree with Judy, someone's gotta rethink that quiz!
