My Day, Yesterday

"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." - Lou Holtz

Hey... I'm batting 1,000 with the "cry-ability" of "Don't Fence Me In"! Glad you liked it, Jen, and thanks for the note you sent. I have a special file for those kinds of emails, so I can look back and read them when I'm feeling low. :-)

And, go congratulate Allie -- she got two new writing gigs!!! Woot!

Didn't get anything terrificially contstructive done yesterday. DD and I sat around like slugs and rotted our brains in front of the tube -- we went to the library and picked out a bunch of family movies to watch together. We haven't done that in a really long time.

We chose:

>> "Singin' In the Rain" (How can you NOT like this movie? There are some more adult themes that go clear over DD's head in this, but the way they're handled is tasteful and "Make 'em Laugh" makes her laugh like a hyena every time!)

>> "The Journey of Natty Gann" (I saw this in the theater when I was young, and LOVED it. I may have to buy it and call it "research", because the next vintage story I want to write involves the hobos that rode the rails during that time period. And, hey, I had a wicked crush on the young John Cusack *G*).

>> "Everyone's Hero" (This is the movie Dana Reeves and Christopher Reeves made prior to their deaths... DD loves it, and it really is a sweet movie... and, again, in a vintage era).

This is the only YouTube video I could find, it's a "behind the scenes" and they disabled embedding (I hate that).

What did YOU do yesterday?

=============================

Your Daily Dakota -- a brief moment of togetherness:

And no, before you ask, it didn't last long.

==============================

Your Hair Should Be Orange

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices.

Phew... glad y'all haven't noticed my "weirdness".

I worked yesterday. And my mother and I battled the crowds downtown when McCain and Kucinich were here campaigning. It was a mob. Although exciting I'm kind of looking forward to life going back to normal.

I was tempted to watch Phantom of the Opera.

Sweet picture!

My funky inner hair color is supposed to be White (classy, stylish, eloquent, blah, blah, blah)... which is just right where it's currently headed. First time I've gotten advice I'm already following!

Awww, don't they look cute sitting there posing.

Sounds like you had a good day watching movies and Singing in the Rain is one of my all-time favorite and I enjoyed the Make Em Laugh dance sequence.

My Hair Should Be White

Classy, stylish, and eloquent.
You've got a way about you that floors everyone you meet.

I spent yesterday with my mom and nephew and had a good time.

I hope you have a good Sunday.

Dakota is such a stunner! Her cutes must make up for an awful lot! And again, I LOVED "Don't Fence Me In"! (And I did leave a review on TWRP site. ;-)

I now have the song "Singin' in the Rain" stuck in my head. *g*

Love the latest Dakota picture!

Your Hair Should Be Pink

Hyper, insane, and a boatload of fun. You're a traveling party that everyone loves to follow.

Well, pink IS my favorite color. LOL! And I like the idea of being a boatload of fun. *g*

Oh, I love "Singing in the Rain", always make me feel like dancing when that scenes come on :) Recently Usher (spell right?) did numbers of that particular exact scenes on a TV special, once. Everything he did was just like the original...I thought. :)

I also saw "Everyone's Hero" and like that one too :)

Your Dakota is so cute! IT make me want to pinch that doggy cheeks LOL... :)

Yesterday - I stay home trying to catch up my reading. Since the 50 Challenge books start all over again, I start with the first book "Feel the Heat" by Kathryn Shay. I re-read it in the past, but didn't realize it until I read it last night. My feeling toward the book remain the same...I love it :)

I hope you have a good day! :)

I fell off a ladder yesterday - not as fun as watching "Singing in the Rain", but every bit as FUNNY. At least it was to my friend Cyndee after she realized I wasn't dead or broken or concussed.

I think my chiropractor is about to become considerably more wealthy...

We watched Season One of Bones on DVD. I think my favorite episodes are the first one and The Man in the Fallout Shelter.
My hair should be white. Um, yeah, the way silver hairs keep popping up in my head almost everyday, I am close to getting there! *G*
I remember Singing in the Rain, Yankee Doodle Dandy is also a favorite along with alot of the old musicals. *g*

Dakota is cute as a bug! *g*

Have a nice, restful sunday!

Ceri, the political hoopla around here is NUTS!! And, yes, watch Phantom... it's awesome.

Anno...classy, stylish, elegant... -- they NAILED it.

Allie, John Cusack in "Natty Gann" made my young heart go pitty-pat... what an unlikely heartthrob.

Dru, sounds like you had a great day. And don't let the innocent look on Dakota's face fool you...

Jen, I saw the review...thanks!

Tori, pink is MY favorite color, too, twin!

Julia, It's great you got time to read! And some books are even better the second time around.

Oh, Groovy! Poor you, but I can sure imagine the laughing... I'd've done the same (sorry).

Brandy, I don't watch Bones, but I've heard really great things about it! Thanks for the well-wishes, we've had a good day today.

I did not see this one coming:

Your hair should be red: Passionate, fiery, and sassy.
You're a total smart aleck who's got the biggest personality around.
