NaNo Nope

"When in doubt, have two guys come through the door with guns." (Raymond Chandler)

I didn't reach my NaNo goal yesterday, and didn't write a word this morning. Why? Because I'm bored. Today I'm going to write random scenes (I have this great scene idea where the box under Geoff's temporary secretary's desk has ... well, I can't tell you, but it should be fun to write) and just see what happens because right now it's all a big YAWN.

In today's NaNo Pep talk, the author wrote: "My friend Phil once said that if I wrote every day what I felt like writing that day, then my writing would not be dutiful. It would have life and interest in it."

It was as though she was speaking directly to me.

You Are a Silver Cell Phone

You are quiet, thoughtful, and contemplative. You definitely don't like to show off.

You're the type of person who's more likely to surf the web on your phone than text or talk.

You probably also have a bit of a thing for gadgets. You're somewhat of a geek.'

You are addicted to being plugged in to the world around you. You need to have the internet at your fingertips!

about 75% correct...

I liked that pep talk. I kept envisioning an army of ants marching through the hypothetical grocery store scene and walking off with food.

Phil is wise.

Ref: random scenes
Sometimes that makes for a great kick start.

I like what Phil said.

You Are a Green Cell Phone

You are down to earth, calm, and practical. You are content with your life.

You don't need the latest and greatest toys. In fact, you've sometimes wondered if we're too dependent on cell phones these days.

You are happiest when you're out in nature or at home doing simple tasks. Your inner peace really glows.

You are community minded and socially aware. You know that it's not just all about you.

it's accurate

I hope you had a good day.
