I Should Have Named Her Socks

“Fanaticism for anything is addiction.” - unknown

Dakota has a little addiction... she can't help herself, she knows she's being naughty, but they call to her and she can't resist their siren's song.

Socks (though I admit she has an equal fondness for slippers).

She doesn't chew them. She snuggles with them.

We keep our laundry in the closet, but leave the closet door open so she'll sneak in and nab a sock, several times every day.

Sometimes I'll just find socks laying around (her version of "Dakota was here").

But mostly I find her napping happily with one.

Do they have "Socks Anonymous"?

====================

I wrote nearly 2000 words yesterday. I *need* to write about 2200 words a day to catch up by the end of November, so I'm aiming for more today. Instead of running errands during DD's art lessons, I'm going to take the time to write. DH and I have a date tonight while DD is at a friend's house, so that time is gone and my Thursday is packed, so I'm hoping to get twice what I need.

We'll see. I'm marching on, regardless...

=====================

You Were One of the Emo / Goth Kids

When you were in high school, you were still figuring out what you were all about.

You underwent an intense period of self exploration, and you learned a lot about yourself.

You may have felt like a bit of an oddball, but luckily you had friends who were in the same boat as you were.

You probably aren't very goth or emo these days. However, you still are likely to see things from an alternative point of view.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... no. I was the one of the "get along with everyone, good student, average joe, drama nerd" kids. I loved school, had plenty of friends from all walks of life and really actually quite enjoyed being there.

WTG on your word count.

Love that Dakota lets you know where he's been.

You Were One of the Overachievers

When you were in high school, you were unusually mature and together for your age.

You worked hard and were extremely successful. You probably graduated at the top of your class.

You probably didn't have much time to even consider what social clique you were in... you were too busy studying.

Some may say that you missed out on the full high school experience, but at least you got into a good college!

I had to laugh because I was not an overachiever, close, but not really. But it is 90% accurate.

That is so adorable! She probably is in hog heaven when she finds a sock in the closet.

I go the Emo thing which is about right, I was the kid with several nose/ ear rings amongst other things.
But I was still cool.
Dakota is so cute with her little socks fetish, you should get her some special woolly ones

Awww Dakota is too cute with her sock addiction! *g* Sounds like you have a good plan in place to write.

You Were One of the Nerds
When you were in high school, you probably found it a little difficult to fit in.
But then again, you probably didn't care! You didn't really feel like changing you are... and you still don't.
Back then, no one had the maturity to appreciate your intelligence and cleverness. You were pretty misunderstood.
Luckily, it's a nerd's world these days, and things are getting better all the time for people like you. Some may even consider you to be cool now.

Um, if you count having a book in your hand almost every moment of the day being a nerd, then yeah.

I hope you have a sensational time on your date!
