Prayers Please...

Fire, water, and government know nothing of mercy. ~ Proverb

First off, I'd appreciate prayers for one of my writing friends, Gay Walker, who lives in California and is under evacuation for the fires. For the average person, evacuation would be stressful, but Gay runs a boarding stable, so has 50 or-so horses (as well as cats and other critters) to worry about on top of everything else, and her ranch has been threatened by fire already.

Gay... hang in there, girl.

=============================

No writing yesterday, but did clean up "Kitchen Matches" and submit it the Sweetheart line of The Wild Rose Press. Hopefully they enjoy it as much as I did. I also finished my edits for "One Love For Liv" and sent them on, though I forgot to include my author bio (oops). Took care of that this morning.

Stayed up too late again. DH worked late, and didn't get home until about 9:00, so I waited up and watched NCIS with him when he got home. Can I tell you how much I love Tony on that show? I also chatted for half an hour at The Wild Rose Press, but finally couldn't keep my eyes open.

I hope to get some writing done today. I haven't heard back from one author about a Halloween story she submitted, so I may end up writing a short for next week's free short story at LASR. Y'all are going to be sick of reading my stuff, if this keeps up. I did have a wonderful author come through for me on a Thanksgiving story (thanks, Alisha!).

My thoughts are definitely with Gay and everyone out there. I'm wondering if my sister and her hubby will be sent out there to help. They're both forest fire fighters.

Good luck on the submission. I'm sure they'll adore it. And I promise to look into my box of wips for something that'll fit the LASR short story criteria. I know I have no Thanksgiving stories though. But I'll see if I can come up with something. I've been in a rut with DS so the break might be nice. Gosh knows I won't get one come Nov. 1st.

I'll pray for your friend Gay and hope the fire doesn't reach her animals and buildings.

Tony's great on NCIS! And good luck on the writing.

I have holiday stuff in my novels, but not in my short stories. Sorry but I love your stories.

Gay and everyone else out in Southern California are in my prayers. Such a sad and scary sitution.

Much to my surprise, I got:

Your Power Level is: 62%

You're a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within.
Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll reach your goals.

I fully expected to get well below that. Huh.

Good thoughts and prayers for your friend Gay.
Sorry to hear your writing didn't go the way you wanted it to yesterday.
NCIS is a great show and Tony is a cutie.

My Power Rating was 80%. (HUH!?) "You're a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within.
Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll reach your goals."
Um, okay?

I hope you have a great day!

Gay and others where the fire is are all in my prayers and thoughts.

I've always loved Tony and especially the sparring he use to have with Kate.

Good luck on your writing today.

Prayers for Gay, her animals and everyone effected by the fires.

Okay, this kinda surprised me:

Your Power Level is: 81%
You have all the tools you need to be a success - both professionally and personally.
You'll probably go beyond reaching your goals. You'll change the world (at least a little).

Let's hope so!
