How Can It Be Wednesday?

If you want work well done, select a busy man - the other kind has no time. ~Elbert Hubbard

Where has my week gone? Sheesh....

The good news is -- I'M DONE WITH THE FIRST ROUND OF EDITS ON MY NOVEL!! Woo!

More good news -- I'M DONE WITH THE FIRST ROUND OF EDITS ON MY COWBOY STORY!! This is the one that was utterly agonizing. And, I'm done. For now.

I'm so ready to write. SO ready, I can't stand it. I have a short story (that's getting longer and longer every day) that is calling to me. I wonder if I can get it done by the end of October so that I'll be ready for NaNoWriMo?? Since I have no clue how long it will end up being as it was started as a potential Womans World story -- 1000 words -- and has already grown, with little help from me, to just under 5500 words. And, at the moment it shows no sign of stopping.

I also need to work on some scene cards and line up some dares (from the NaNo board) to help me through the inevitable writers block I will more than certainly hit in the second week. I always have, so now I prepare for it. I try to rack up at least 10 days worth of word in the first seven and then find tricks to get myself writing when I can't seem to find the words.

It works. Or, at least it has the past two years.

We'll see how it goes.

You got more done than I did! Good deal! But I did some writing and I'll do more when I'm done with my late night errands (I'm so nice to pick up dinner and bring it to my husband).

I'm really planning on doing NaNo. I've had really good luck with the wips that have come out of it so I think it'll be worth it. I hope.

Great job on the edits. I'm probably doing a cheating version of Nano because I've already started but I'm trying to finish by end of November. I'm not officially entering, though... just taking on the challenge.
