For Sunday, I'm giving my brain a day of rest, so I give you this meme:
randomness...feed your mind and your blog
Week of February 18: list 6 odd things about yourself.
1. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. LOVE them. I will eat them for any meal, and will occasionally pass over a "real" dessert to have half a PB&J sandwich instead.
2. I don't read just one book at a time. I typically have at least two fiction and one non-fiction book being read concurrently. Today, I have it the other way around: one fiction book ("Slow Burn" by Julie Garwood) and two non-fiction books ("You on a Diet" and "Wishcraft"). I also have several magazines I'll read each month.
3. Taking a bath puts me to sleep. I swear some day I'm going to drown in the tub. I can't bathe in the morning -- showers only -- because after a bath, no matter the time of day, I will curl up and snooze.
4. I'm horrifically shy and yet love to be on stage. I was involved with drama my entire life as well as choir and I aced my speech class. But when I have to be "me", I'd rather curl up and die than meet anyone new.
5. I don't sit still well. I always need to be doing something. Even when I'm in front of the TV, I'll have a book or needlework. My DH loves to go out on his boat, but it drives me crazy because I'm not "doing" anything... It's always go-go-go for me. I'll probably drive myself into an early grave, but I can't seem to stop!
6. I love trivia. I could watch Jeopardy for hours. Trivial Pursuit is one of my favorite board games (but I can never find anyone who will play with me!). One of my favorite books I own is called "Why Do Dogs Have Wet Noses? and Other Imponderables of Everyday Life" by David Feldman. In fact, I probably cram my brain so full of trivia that I can't remember anything else!
What about you? Wanna spill the weird beans? If you do, post a comment and let me know!

Next time we get together, a game of Trivial Pursuit!
me too, me too... for the Trivial Pursuit game. I wonder... is there an online version you can play with real people? I know you can things like backgammon and spades and such.
Your "weird" things don't sound so weird to me...(1) I have you beat on the pb&j.... I like peanut butter, banana and mayonnaise sandwiches. (2)I have three or four books I'm reading at any one time- A. by my bed B. in the potty (go on, admit it...I'm not the only one!) C. by my chair in our den D. in the car/my pocketbook (3)Okay... you have me beat here. I enjoy a bath, but it doesn't put me to sleep. Now... getting my feet rubbed... mmm... (4) I'm the same way here. As long as I don't have to be "me" I'm okay in front of people. (5)I always have either crocheting or counted cross-stitch in my hands when we're watching TV (or nowadays, my laptop). (6)I can't get anyone to play TP with me either. Or Scrabble.
So, see, you aren't THAT weird! lol
We have the reading multiple books (just check out the list on my blog), not sitting still, and taking baths in common--but I'm rather gregarious. People will say to me (joking), Oh, come on, Gay. Tell us how you really feel.
My other quirks: I'm addicted to Starbucks. At least one a day, usually two. Yesterday, my dog stole a full one off the coffee table while I was washing my face and changing out of my riding breeches (I ALWAYS put it on the coffee table next to my 'puter while I clean up--have for years), and managed to get it outside before she drank it and shredded the cup to get the last of it without spilling a single drop, and I was so bothered that after sitting around wanting one for a few hours, I actually got back in my car and drove the mile and a half to Starbucks to buy another one. I could have made a pot of regular coffee, but I wanted a latté. When I'm not writing, I would rather ride my horse than do anything. and except for Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty, I hate television.
I play a mean game of Scrabble, but I'm terrible at Trivial Pursuit. I'm not good at names... I'm visual, so I remember faces, can describe locations, but names? I struggle.
I filled this one out earlier:

But...umm...is it odd to read more than one book at a time? Currently I have 4 or 5 going. I just figured it was personal reading ADD. :-)
I am into multi-tasking & multiple-reading too.
I don't pretend to be captain weird. I just do what I do. - Johnny Depp
He doesn't pretend to be weird because he IS weird. *g* Hot, but just a little strange.
I don't find your odd things all that odd either. :)
