The Office

Some places speak distinctly. Certain dank gardens cry aloud for a murder; certain old houses demand to be haunted; certain coasts are set apart for shipwrecks. ~Robert Louis Stevenson

Not the TV show... the one I work in, lol...

Lookie, my office is nearly put together. Finally!!! I still need to hang my Lion King movie poster and Dru's quilt, and... well... unpack a few more boxes of books and various other stuff. But, it looks like an office now!

My "desk" and currently empty white board. I'm also stupidly sentimental and have roses my DH sent me about ten years ago, notes from my DD and cards that were sent to me. I like to look at them. They make me smile, even when I don't feel like it.

It's a big room, so I filled up this corner with my ficus (though, I imagine I'll have a bookcase there eventually):

And, of course, I have my bookcases (full to the brim -- with two more boxes of books to unload and no where to put them):

Now, I just need to get into the habit of working up there instead of at the dining table. Part of THAT problem is, in the morning I work at the table because that's near my beloved coffee. But, I've been trying to move it back upstairs once DH and DD are up.

Now I'm off to work on my JaNoWriMo novel. TTFN!

I love the space of your office with all that natural light coming in through the window.

Could you bring your coffeepot up to your office?

Wow! Beautiful! Certainly worth working through November to achieve! And... do my eyes deceive me? Is that sunshine?

I love your office! I miss having a room dedicated to just being my office.

It's a lovely office. So light and bright. I'd love to have a space like that to write and call my own.

It makes me want to move all my stuff into the study since that was supposed to be my office. Maybe that will go on my to do list.
