Randomness

I tell you this, and I tell you plain:
What you have done, you will do again;
You will bite your tongue, careful or not,
Upon the already-bitten spot.
~Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960

For some reason, I'm completely wiped out this morning. I feel like I haven't slept in weeks. So ... my brain isn't working *quite* right. Therefore, I give you:

Random Thoughts

DH starts an eleven day vacation today.

Dakota's best friend, Mindy, was just diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. We're very sad.

I prefer being too hot to being too cold. These crisp mornings are making me shiver.

People in the romance community are, by and large with a few exceptions, some of the nicest, most generous people I've ever known.

DD is done with school.

Dakota has a play date with a standard Poodle puppy on Saturday, provided my DH doesn't decide I have chores.

Despite the problem with bears and deer, I really like abutting conservation land. It's like having hundreds of acres of land.

Of all my chores, I hate cooking dinner the most.

I wish I had ripe tomatoes in my garden. Nothing tastes better than a freshly picked, still sun-warmed, home grown tomato.

I still miss my birds. Bad bear.

Someone set off firecrackers at 1:30 a.m. last night. There are days I really hate people.

I wish I could foster pets from the shelter.

I've decided I like the show "Leverage" more than "Eureka". I know, I'm shocked, too!

And now, I need more coffee... have a good day!

You Could Use Some Blue

Your life is probably a lot more chaotic and stressful than you'd like it to be.

At times, you feel like you're spinning out of control. And gaining control is actually easier than you might think.

Tap into some blue energy by finding calm and serenity every day.

You have the inner peace and strength you seek. You just need to find it.

Pretty much correct...

So sad about Mindy. Give Sue an extra hug from me.

Firecrackers at 1:30 a.m. - I don't blame you - I'd be upset too. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

Hope DH enjoys the vacation.

Tell your daughter I wear her earrings a lot and love the bracelet too.

I love your random thoughts.

Wouldn't it be nice if you can take an 11-day vacation?

Have a good Thursday.

I'm with Dru. Where's your vacation, Marianne?

Ref: I hate cooking dinner the most.

Now that surprises me. You know so much about cooking that I would think it would love it.

I can so relate to the cooking dinner remark. I guess that's why God created take-out. And microwaves. Miss homegrown tomatoes!

Why is it that the husbands get vacations? And that those mean extra work for us? I like your random thoughts, they still make plenty of sense. I thought every one thought like that! *G*
I'm sorry to hear of Dakota's friend. Hugs to y'all.

You Could Use Some Green
You feel like your life is a bit dramatic and intense these days.
You just wish that everyone would calm down a little - yourself included.
Tap into some green energy to find balance and stability in your life.
Only you know what you need. Take time by yourself, especially in nature, to figure out what that is.

So, so true.

I hope you're having a lovely day!

I am SHOCKED that you like Leverage more than Eureka! But then we haven't seen this upcoming season of the latter yet. :)

Mom, Sue's doing pretty well, all things considered. I gave her you love.

Diane, I still say you got one of the prettiest sets (I was tempted to keep it for myself! *G*). I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Dru and Maria, re: Vacation...

First, I'm pretty sure moms/wives don't get vacation, lol.

Second, I'm the only one who can build the LASR/WC/Aurora website so can't take time off. Ever.

Know anyone proficient with Sharepoint Designer who wants to volunteer their time to help? *G*

Maria and Liz, re: dinner --

I love to cook, but I also love to eat nearly anything. I'll try almost anything once.

My DH is VERY picky and doesn't like anything new or "weird". He's very much a meat and potatoes man and it makes cooking for him a chore. Frequently I cook two meals every night: one for him and one for DD and I.

So, yeah, I'd rather scrub toilest with a toothbrush.

Brandy, re: vacation - it's SO true that when our families vacation we end up working twice as hard. What's up with that?

Thanks for your kind wishes for Dakota's friend. We're very sad.

Tori, re: Leverage vs. Eureka --

It's not that I don't love Eureka, I do (!!), but I've found I don't enjoy watching it in reruns very much. I do, however, enjoy the reruns of Leverage -- maybe because I sometimes miss little things (like the Peel and Steed we'd discussed). It's such a clever show.
