Bring On the Rain

I think we are bound to, and by, nature. We may want to deny this connection and try to believe we control the external world, but every time there's a snowstorm or drought, we know our fate is tied to the world around us. - Alice Hoffman

Well... it's official. Our well is hitting bottom. DH changed our sediment filter yesterday morning, and in less than an hour, it was already clogged. So -- this means we aren't going to be able to water anything outside (bye-bye grass and garden) and we have to conserve water indoors as much as possible (hello five minute showers).

I'm praying for rain. I'm desperate. None in the forecast for today... maybe tomorrow?

I'm not in my happy place.

===================

I wrote 1000 words yesterday. Forced myself to sit down and do it. Set the timer for 20 mins and just wrote. It was good. I'm going to do that again today. Apparently I work well under pressure. Maybe I should try Write or Die.

====================

Your Money Personality is Reasonable

You are likely very financially savvy. You probably track your purchases down to the penny.

Even if you have money problems, you try to avoid letting them stress you out. You try to stay on top of your finances.

You are a careful and reasonable person. You think clearly before you make a decision.

You are the type of person who has trouble throwing things away. You tend to have a bit of clutter in your life.

Up until that last, it was pretty close.

Bummer on the well, and on top of all that heat.

Will you be able to dig a new well or can you tap into city water?

Yay on writing 1,000 words. Good luck today.

re quiz: the same as yours and the last paragraph is not me at all.

We're getting rain tomorrow and I hope it travels up your way.

Have a good Wednesday.

Maria, the moment we get rain, it'll be fine. It's just that it's been hot and dry since April -- something unheard of out here. Usually it's too wet!

Dru, from your mouth to God's ears.

Fingers crossed for rain for you, Marianne. We hit 102 yesterday so I'm hoping it will be cooler for everyone today.

Oh, no! Sending good thoughts your way on the rain/dry well issue!
I received the same answer for the quiz as you and Dru. And it works, except when it comes to money I stress out. A lot. And while I don't have clutter, I tend to file everything. *G*

Wishing a good day for you!

Sorry about the well. Hope it rains soon!!!! Hugs.

Write or die pretty much describes how I get it done when everything is stacked against me. But I've always worked best with a loaded gun to the head. Pretty pathetic, actually.

I'm so tired of this heat! I'll be praying for rain too. We have town water, but my mom has a well and she's concerned too.

I haven't gotten any writing done. Seems like every time I plan to sit down and do it, something comes up. Like this evening I have to run out again. blah blah blah!!!

We need rain too and I remember needing it to rain to fill our cistern and well when we were dependent on our own water. Hope you get rain SOON!

Good job on writing 1000 words. That's good news!
