Looking For a Little Help

Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing. ~William James

It was a gorgeous day yesterday -- if a little chilly with the wind. But the sun was shining and it was so pretty! I, once again, discovered some new bulbs I planted in the fall that I don't know what they are. But they're quite pretty. See:

They also come in this gorgeous dark pink, but only bloom in the sunshine, and this one was shaded when I was taking pictures:

So, I guess I'm going to need to research low-growing, deer resistant bulbs that are good for Zone 3 and bloom in the early spring. LOL...

Another nice day expected for today, and the weekend.... not so much. But, as always, I'm just glad it's not snow.

I need some writing help for my "Kitchen Matches" sequel. I posted it to my crit group and got a couple responses, but I want more, More, MORE!!! Here's what I posted:
Hey all.. I need help. I'm looking for a list of questions someone might ask a potential husband.

Pretend you're at one of those one-minute date things -- you know, where you get a minute or two to chat with the person, and then a bell rings and one of you moves to the next table?

What would you ask that person if you only had a very short time? What's most important (assume that you already know if he's single, etc).

No question is too silly.

I really mean that.

So, if you were husband-hunting, what would be some things you'd like to know? And, as I stated, no question is too silly or unimportant.

I appreciate your help!

You Are Straight Leg Jeans

You are a steady and reasonable person. You are never frivolous or flippant.

You enjoy being modern, but you avoid trends whenever possible. You think trends are often foolish.

You are comfortable in your own skin, and you don't mind being a little bit different from everyone else.

You accept yourself for who you are, and because you do, others do too. You are gloriously consistent.

Yep. Tagged. Except for the "you are never flippant" part it's 100%.

LOL!

Well the first thing I would ask is: Do you like dogs?

Liking animals is mandatory in my relationships. (I'd also make sure he didn't smoke.)

Yep, Maria got it right. First, do you like animals. Not just dogs, cause I like cats too. Plus absolutely no smoking (or chewing). Also it would be good to find out if he liked children.

I came up with the same jeans as you. Surprise, surprise.

The first thing I would ask is:

Do you smoke?
Do you have pets?
Do you have kids and/or do you have physical custody.
Why are you here?
What is your idea of a fun date?
Are you into sports?
Do they still live at home with your parents?
Are you employed?
When and where was the last trip you took for pleasure?

I'm also straight leg jeans.

Have a good Thursday.

If you’re looking for something more offbeat, you might go with “this or that” questions, things like:

Shower or bath?
Microsoft or Apple?
Angelina Jolie or Jennifer Aniston?
Chinese take out or delivery pizza?
Shaken or stirred?
Jonas Brothers or Justin Bieber?

(Okay, maybe not that last one.) But you get the idea, only tailored for your character.

Rats!! I thought I posted all my questions, but they're not showing up.

Lets see if I can remember them...

1)Have you been married, and if so, how many times?

2)How do you feel about sharing household chores?

3)do you believe that the seat should be down when you're not using it?

4)How much time do you spend on the couch watching sports every weekend?

5)can you cook?

6)How long have you been in your current job?

7)Does Andrew Dice Clay make you laugh?

I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones that came to mind. :)

Hmm, I married my HS sweetheart so I'm not sure my questions would be relevant. But, here goes: Do you like music? What kind? Do you have pets? If yes, what kind? Do you like animals? Do you believe in God? Do you attend Church? Are you a nice person? Do you like to read? If so, what do you like to read? Do you vote? Do you smoke? Do you drink? Have you ever been arrested? Do you like the gym? Are you into sports?

Too many, right? *G*

I hope you've had a very nice day!

Well, don't know if it's a ? someone would ask it at a speed-dating thingy, but a key question when husband hunting is "kids or no kids?" I actually know 3 couple right now in varying stages of separation/divorce because it turns out after X years married that husband and wife wanted different things re: kids.
