The Hair and I

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities. ~Theodore Geisel

Once upon a time there was a hair. She was an average, everyday hair... the kind of hair you would brush off your clothes or vacuum up with a hundred other hairs. She was long and white and when she used to be part of a Papillon dog, she was beautiful.

But now she was alone and just a discarded hair.

Until the girl found her! And curled her ends and named her "Jasmine" and played with her all evening.

The girl even made certain Jasmine was cared for when the time came for her to run around a room full of strange obstacles with her dog. And the girl always came back and rescued her from the lady who laughed at a hair named Jasmine.

And the girl's friend found a hair... a lonely hair... and the friend named this hair "Harry". And Jasmine and Harry met and talked and fell madly in love and they lived happily ever after in a Target bag.

The End.

And, yes, I already warned my DD I was going to tell her boyfriend about the time she found a hair and named it Jasmine.

Although it didn't rain yesterday, it did mist and was gray and overcast and depressing. Still, no more rain was a good thing. And today is supposed to be sunny and warm, as is tomorrow and Saturday. YAY.

I may turn my garden (I don't till it because I don't want to chop up my worms, but I do go out with a pitchfork and turn it and pull out the rocks that grew in it during the winter and pull out as many weeds as I can) and I may even consider planting some of my cold weather crops. Really, it's too early, but 70+ degree weather is really tempting.

You Are Expressive

During your downtime, you like to develop ideas and work on creative projects.

You secretly wish that you could be a more knowledgeable person. There are a dozen things you'd like to get your PhD in.

You are realistic about the world. You may have challenges that come your way, but you can overcome them.

You are inspired by high energy. Being around other creative, productive people really motivates you.

Hmmm... mostly right.

I'm thinking the younger years are what make the teenage years bearable. Blackmail material! *G*
