Drama, Drama, Drama

Stress is the trash of modern life - we all generate it but if you don't dispose of it properly, it will pile up and overtake your life. ~Danzae Pace

Yesterday was all drama, all day long -- not going to get into details, but OY am I tired today, lol. With any luck, things will be much MUCH calmer today.

I have errands to run and they have to be done today, because we're expecting upwards of 6" of snow tomorrow. Oh. Whee. Not sure if this means my DH will be working from home Weds & Thurs or not, but could make life interesting, to say the least. He's still upset we didn't get whomped by the snowstorm that hit south of us last week. Me? Not so much.

So. yesterday in the comments I was amazed at how much everyone read the same stuff I did growing up. Was it that there just weren't as many juvenile books available then as there are now? I mean, Twilight series aside, if you polled fifteen 10 - 14 y.o. kids today, you'd probably get fifteen different sets of books. The selection for youth fiction today is amazing.

If you want to get a chuckle this week, you should go visit the LASR author spotlight -- I don't usually promo them here, but this is a man who writes romance, and a good many of his posts just made me laugh. Only Mon and Tues are up so far (of course), but you should go have a chuckle (hint: tomorrow's is good, too). Today's cracked me up -- the end of it was so funny! The link may be found on the home page of LASR here.

You Are Somewhat Competitive

Like most people, you feel like a little healthy competition is good for you sometimes. You like to be motivated.

And no matter whether you win or lose, you are a good sport. You take competition seriously, but not too seriously.

You know that you have to compete to win, but sometimes you don't feel like competing - and that's okay.

Just the fact that you are willing to compete puts you ahead of 99% of all people.

That's about right...

I hope today is a better day.

You Are Not Competitive

There is not a competitive bone in your body. Competition doesn't hold much appeal for you.

If anything, you are only likely to compete with yourself. What other people do doesn't matter to you.

While it's generally healthy to not be competitive, you may want to step up from time to time.

Competition can be motivating and fun. Even if you lose, you'll learn a lot about yourself.

this is so true.

Have a good Tuesday.

Hope you have a drama-free day. There must have been something in the air yesterday though because my day was similar!

I sincerely hope today goes much better for you. I have a feeling today is going to be all about the Drama here. *sigh*
As for kids books back then? I don't think there were as many authors then that wrote for children/youth.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

There probably weren't as many children's authors back then. And YA wasn't even heard of back then. At least not by that name.
