So, the weekend forecast has changed. I bet this is going to surprise you when I say we're expecting rain today and tomorrow.
I KNOW. Shocking.
So, in honor of the desperation I feel, I must post the following -- my fave tribute to "I Will Survive" from the movie "The Replacements" (which is a great movie if you get past the fact that darling, handsome Keanu Reeves can't act).

That was the first movie wherein I saw the appeal of Keanu. Mmm.
I'd be glad to take the rain off your hands. We have 100 degree temps for the next week, and no measurable chance of rain.
I hope they are wrong in their weather prediction and it doesn't rain on your parade.

I just heard a national weather forecast. Rain through Saturday in the New England area, then clearing and in the 70's for Sunday. I will keep my fingers crossed that they are correct.
I'll take the rain here in Northern California. We are expecting triple digits again this weekend.
I love this movie and this is one of my fave scenes! Sorry about the rain. It's so hot here. These are the days I wish we had a/c.
I hadn't seen this before. I actually used to play this song over and over when I was going through the most challenging time of my life - it's very inspiring. But this version is fabulous.

Good acting is overrated. Besides, Keanu just has limited range. My son is a huge Keanu fan (Matrix, Bill and Ted, Replacements, etc) and I still remember him solemnly telling me:
"He's a really good actor, Mommy."
It's all relative.
