Okay...

"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man's determination." — Tommy Lasorda

Thanks to Allie for the smack upside the head, and to Charity for reminding me that the world won't come to an end if things don't work perfectly in my first draft, and that it's okay to write drivel the first time through (which is a good thing... seriously).

Unfortunately, it didn't make writing any easier this a.m., but I did write... 656 words. I randomly switched back and forth from third to first person for no apparent reason (which is going to be fun to fix, ha) and just let what happened, happen. If I end up chopping out the first 5000 words when I edit, so be it. It's not as though 50,000 words is enough for a full length novel anyway, so I'd need to keep on writing regardless.

I'm going to try to write again later today, good Lord willing and the creek don't rise (and DH doesn't have plans he didn't tell me about... like yesterday).

========================

Things I'm grateful for today: That I can leave my birdfeeders out at night, and that DH started up the wood stove (so I would be cold while dealing with having a cold).

I haven't written a word in over a week. I'm such a slacker.

Just write. don't think about it too much because it's only a draft.

So far 2000 words each day for me. I may just get this book done by the 17th. I had to rewrite the last half completely and am sort of shooting from the hip so decided to do the first 17 days of Nano on this won and then switch to the book I wanted to write the entire month. Maybe I'll finally get to 50K words. Fingers crossed.
