"Sooner or later, those who win are those who think they can." — Richard Bach
First off... it wasn't a bear yesterday morning. Or, at least, if it WAS, he didn't want my bird food. Thankfully, they were still intact this morning. Phew.
Setting the alarm for 4 a.m. is a bit painful. I've gotten out of the habit, instead letting the cat wake me up at about 4:45 every morning. It's amazing how that little bit of extra sleep makes such a world of difference. Still, once I drag my lazy behind out of bed and pour my coffee with chocolate soy milk, I'm ready to go.
I think I need an incentive like Groovy, though. Those Lindt truffles are looking mighty good...
In any case, my NaNo buddies rock!

You go girls!!!!
===========================
Today, I want to keep up the pace and write another 3,000 words. If possible, I'd like to be at 21,000 the first week. I think I can, I think I can....
Thanks for help on those boxes. One will have love letters (the idea of them caused me to think of what I hope will be an interesting twist), and I kinda like the idea of some freakish collection (Groovy suggested old sneakers.... anything else y'all can think of to collect that isn't alive and won't rot in a box in the garage?).
Okay, off to write. Will post numbers shortly.

But don't forget: if you set your alarm for 4 am by yesterday's clock, it's only 3 am today. You get an extra hour! (Maybe the NaNo organizers think that makes up for hosting the event during the month that includes Thanksgiving?) Good luck today!
How about those little records
(45s I think?) and surprise surprise her mother is the one singing on them! (I have a cousin who made a go of a band in the 60's and I have one of their 45s still).
Its almost 6am and I'm starting to write. Just waiting for my coffee.
GOOD LUCK TODAY!
The cameraderie of NaNo is my favorite part of the whole adventure. Love to see everyone's word counts climb!
Way to go, all! Ooh, there are going to be lots of new books come December 1st. Isn't it exciting?
Off to write chapter 2. :)
Happy Sunday.
Did 5014 before bed and did, indeed, enjoy my well earned chocolate!
Kudos to your Nano buddies. All of you rock! Keep up the good work.
