Writing

Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regret, for I am far surer of what is kind than I am of what is true. ~Robert Brault

So... I'd wanted to finish "Return to Stiller Creek" yesterday. I had every intention of doing so until a surprise gathering was sprung upon me. Ahem. Let me explain that it was a surprise only to me. My SIL had told my DH there would be a family gathering to celebrate my MIL's birthday today.

Did DH deign to share the word? Nope. And, fact is, he never does. We've been married twelve years this August, and people still haven't learned that they need to talk TO ME if they want my entire family group to know what's going on.

Am I the only one whose husband forgets to pass the word on stuff like this?

In any case, a good time was had by most, and Dakota got to hang out, too, having received an actual invitation from my SIL. You'd have to know my in-laws to understand what a big deal that was.

So. I only got about 500 words written. But today? Today, there are no suprises planned *G*.

100 is looking pretty likely for you right now. You've made your health a priority.

So kick back, keep doing what you're doing, and enjoy the great life you've made for yourself.

And you might get to see what the world is like 70, 80, or even 90 years from now.

Well, at least you made some progress! Saturday I wrote for several hours on my new wip, but I was sitting in a chair in a waiting room, no table. Just me and a notebook and my sore arm.

Hope you have a productive day today.

Enjoy your surpriseless day of writing! It sounds great. I plan to do the same, actually. A nice, quiet day of fingers on keys.

*snort* You know something's going to come up. A calm day? Writing? Yeah, right. :)

The rule in our house is that if it isn't in iCal when I do my sync (which means a MIMIMUM of 24 hours ahead of time), it ain't happening. And if it conflicts with someone that was there first....tough.

But 500 words is good. I cleaned out my books....got my personal shelves down to about half (I say about....it's more like 60%).

BTW, you got more writing then me and my proposal is due in a week. YIKES!

You're probably tired of hearing it, but 500 words is better than nothing. But probably not what you thought was going to be possible.

In our house, I'm the one who forgets to tell everyone what's going on. Sometimes I tell my husband, and sometimes I tell my daughter, but with everyone underfoot (oops, I mean, around) all the time, I tend to expect them to know whatever it is I know.

That is good that you were able to get 500 pages written.

I hope today there are no surprises and you get more writing done.

Depending on the activities, I'm the last to know unless I'm the one organizing it.

I hope you have a good Monday.

forgot to post my quiz results:

Chance You'll Live to 100: 85%

100 is looking like a sure thing for you. So don't screw it up!

In fact, you may live even longer than that. You're healthy, and you have good genes.

Unless there's a robot uprising, you'll probably live a very long time.

500 words is good. It's way better than none.
If the Out-Laws want us anywhere they need to make sure I know. If not, the hubs forgets things. *G*
I hope that you have a good day with no surprises. *G*

My chances were 64% to live to 100.

I would kill my DH if he did that to me all the time and that's probably why I'm not married, lol.

I was 65% to live to 100.
