Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, every day, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to continually be part of unanimity. ~Christopher Morley
My NaNo novel is going to be the worst first draft in the history of bad first drafts. It's full of telling and backstory, and endless narrative. Still, it's fun. I have this character the neighbors all call "Midnight Cowboy", and I don't know what he's up to. He comes and goes late at night like clockwork, and always dressed to the nines in exceptionally neat western clothes.
I really do wonder what he's up to...
Now, I need to go write. I'll update word count later today. Bye!

Have fun with your story. Look forward to seeing your word count.
I'm going to put my reading level on my blog this evening.
Have a good Monday.
You're off to a great start! Your cowboy sounds like a lot of fun to write.
BTW, I have a new list of books for November blog!
Ooooo. Can he come live in my neighborhood? I could sit at my large kitchen window and watch his doings (discreetly, of course) with my dead grandmother's opera glasses...
Good luck with the writing. I think by definition NaNo drafts are supposed to be bad. Unless you're a one draft writer, I don't see how they could be anything but sucky.
I have a high school level. I must use big words.
Oh, I want to know what the Midnight Cowboy is up to, too!
My blog is at an Elementary School level, too!
I hear you, Marianne. My NaNo novel is terrible so far ... but I'm plugging away, just like you!
The neat Midnight Cowboy sounds like a very interesting character!
Good luck with your writing!
