The Friday Feast and Other Food Rambling

Happy Friday!

THE FRIDAY FEAST

Appetizer
Using only one word, how does grocery shopping make you feel?

Broke.

Soup
What is your favorite part about the season of Autumn?

NO BUGS. I love that after that first freeze that kills all the plants and makes everything dull and brown, there are not biting bugs. Mosquitoes? Gone!! WOO! OTOH, I can't think of one other thing I like about Autumn, mostly because it means winter is coming. Ugh.

Salad
Have you ever had any bad experiences online?

Not really -- though once, long ago, I posted a picture of my daughter on the blog (and never will again) and got a really icky comment from some sleazeball about it. I deleted the comment, pulled the picture, and swore I'd never post another of her in any kind of public forum.

Main Course
Name three things that make you happy daily.

My daughter, my dog and lots of sunshine!

Dessert
What one household cleansing or organizing item would you not want to be without?

Cleaning would be all-purpose cleanser. Or the vacuum. Or a sponge. Hmmm....Nope, can't choose just one. Sorry.
======================

A couple of days ago, I bought some Digiorno Garlic Bread Crust pizza. Oh. My. Word. -- this pizza is so good, it's sinful. Yes, it drips butter (oil?) and has to weigh about fifteen pounds. But, yum. I highly recommend it. Especially if you have a vampire problem. Because, yes, it gives you dragon breath.

=====================

I feel really awful about something I did to poor Rose, in Pillar Place: Swallowtail P2 -- she pulled a Phil on me. I guess she was inspired by Martin's roaming for a perfect pupa place, and started a walkabout before she was ready. I figured she was all done, and I dumped the food.

Later that day, I saw her on the floor of the box, eating old, dried up bits of carrot greens. I can't express to you how really rotten I felt! I ran to the garden and snipped some greens and laid them next to her. You've never seen a pillar move so fast. ((hangs head)) Poor Rose.

In Pillar Place: Monarch P2, DD found yet another butterbaby. That brings the current total to eight. And if they don't make their chrysalis's soon and hatch, I'm going to end up having to drive them south because it'll be too cold to release them here. What on earth were their mothers' thinking?

We are in need of more flash fiction and articles at LASR. Send 'em on in - submissions guidelines are here!

I may have done this already... but, in keeping with the food theme:

You Are Mexican Food

Spicy yet dependable.
You pull punches, but people still love you.

Yes, the anti-mosquito properties of autumn are quite nice!

Oh goodness, I almost forgot an online incident with my daughter's pictures until I read your feast. It was scary! Like you, I took the pictures down, deleted the comment, and reported this person to the admin. Some creepy people out there. Glad it all worked out. Thanks for sharing.

Liked your Friday Feast. We have a rule on the blog, no kid faces where they could be recognized. So I do a lot of back of head shots! Sorry you had to go through that with your own daughter. That had to be very disturbing. Hugs.

YES< bring on the absnece of bugs. We're still getting them because of the late summer temperatures being unusually warm. Not fun!

I love DiGiorno pizzas! I haven't had them in a long time, though.

I'm Mexican food, too. :)

So, you know what? Our mosquitoes came BACK today!!!! We've had a couple of steamy days in a row, and the little buggers have returned.

Make sure, when you move West, that you move farther West than MI.

As for kid pics, I might post them if the face cant be seen and if it can, I take it down before 24 hours is over. I also don't use the kids names online.

I am Italian Food and have pomptly forgotten to save it! *G*

Have a wonderful friday!

Love your Friday feast. I don't buy much in terms of grocery but I always spend more than I plan.

I'm Chinese Food

Exotic yet ordinary. People think they've had enough of you, but they're back for more in an hour.

Thanks for stopping by to read my meme post!

Baskets only work well if you can find the right size, shape and place to put them... I went through a phase of "basket overload"...I had a ton but they were not all practical/useful for me...

So I whittled them down and now they are much more usable...

One of my favorite things to do with a basket-you need a larger one for this...with a handle type thing: take small objects from rooms that they don't belong in, place it in the basket...and as you go to each room, take the items out and put them back where they belong... I guess you could use a bucket, bag or box too... but I like baskets! Ha, ha...

I forgot about my own pictures I have placed online off and on...I too have received some disgusting comments...creepy men!

So far I haven't gotten any sleazy comments on the pics I posted online. Thank God for that.

As usual, great feast, Marianne!

Have a good weekend!
