Booking it Where?

It's time to book it, once again.

Location, Location, Location, Part 2

Booking Through Thursday

Where do you do most of your reading? Your favorite spot? (Show a picture, if you want to!)

(And yes, I understand that these might not be the same thing--your favorite spot could be the beach, but you do most of your reading at home . . . in which case, tell me about both!)

I read anywhere, and everywhere. I've been known to stir a pot on the stove with one hand and read with the other. I read when I eat, read before bed, read while watching TV... the only time I can't read is when I'm writing.

Now, that said... ideally? Something like this (though not so modern):

Comfy chair, lots of light, flowers... I'd add some plants and a huge bookcase. Oh yeah.

But I don't need that to read. Reading, for me, is a bit like breathing.

I'll read anywhere, too. That image of stirring a pot with a book in one hand is eerily familiar!
Happy Thursday...and happy reading!

Are you SURE we're not twins separated at birth? I've even been known to read at stop lights.. and most definitely at train crossings! And, the only time I don't read while eating is if I'm eating with someone else. If I'm alone, yep... I'm reading.

Reading while cooking - glad to see I'm not the only one who does this!

Yup, I read anywhere at almost anytime! I've read at stoplights, while cooking or eating and uh, even if I'm in the bathroom! Hey, I'm a mom of three boys and sometimes that's the only place I get any quiet, private moments! LOL!

But I do have this one oversize, comfy chair in the corner of my living room where I like to tuck my feet up with a book and a cup of coffee on the side table. Then I get lost between the pages.

Every once in awhile I read while cooking too, but it distracted me from cooking when I need to look at the clock to know the time it take to baked or cooked something. I'm like a cooking person waiting for accident to happen LOL

Great pic of the comfty place to read, that would be the place for me too. Thanks for stopping by my blog, Happy BTT - have good day!

I mostly read in bed, though I can pretty much read anywhere as long as there are no distractions.

Count me as the reading-while-stirring brigade -- often (since I'm a very bad cook) I'd rather read than eat!

Hi Marianne,

I am totally with you. Reading comes naturally and automatic, just like breathing. It's possible to read anywhere and anytime too... :D

Thanks for visiting my blog again. It's already Friday, but still, Happy BTT!

God bless,

Your ideal spot sounds great, Marianne. Quite comfy!

My favourite place to read - the bathtub, filled with lots and lots of bubbles. Aaahhh, I can feel myself relaxing just thinking about it.

The place I read the most would be - oh I hate to say it - work. But in my defence, I work in a library and it's really, REALLY hard to resist the temptation when you're surrounded by all those wonderful, beautiful books! I keep telling myself that I'm just making sure that I have a full understanding of what our library has to offer.

Hi Marianne, I wish I can do that - cook & read at the same time! LOL. And the picture of the seat looks so comfy for reading!!! Have a great day. :)
