Still Snowing Sunday

Christmas is a time when you get homesick - even when you're home. ~Carol Nelson

It's snowed non-stop since Friday and we have so much snow that I may lose my dog in the drifts, lol. If I think of it, I'm going to try to get a video of her running through the snow -- it makes me laugh like nothing has in a long time.

No baking again yesterday. DH and DD took off to his parents house for most of the day, so we'll give it a go today. I think I'm going to start with the fudge. YUM.

I did get the last of the gifts wrapped while they were gone. I'd been stashing things all over the house and kept finding them and thinking, "Wow, I'd forgotten about that!" -- it was almost like an early Christmas. I hope I found them all, ha! We've invited the family over for Christmas Day, so I will have to spend a good deal of time cleaning next week, as well. The day-to-day stuff is done because, to be honest, I'm too Type A to let my house get too messy, but the deep cleaning needs doing ... dusting the heater vents, etc. Maybe I'll have DD do that. Why have kids if you can't make them into little slaves?

Other than that, I'll just be working on the LASR overhaul and moodling about my JaNoWriMo project (two folks posted yesterday, you should go say "howdy" -- and if you're participating, feel free to post your thoughts on preparing for JaNo as well. It would be good for everyone to get to know everyone -- since, at this point, I'm the only one who's had contact with all the folks playing this Jan).

Now, I just need it to stop snowing. Please? Just for a day or two?

I meant to get over to JaNo yesterday to post and comment. I'm hoping for today. Our snow stopped here (for the time being), but it's currently -12, so I'm not sure it's such a bonus.

I am apparently a very good guesser. :)

It's snowing here as we speak...where is that corner spring hides around, anyway? Hmm?

They said snow, but it's raining as I type this. So not fair.

I hope you get your baking done today.

I'm looking forward to the new LASR site.

I LOVE languages! What fun!

My last "cookie project" is this morning - I can't wait. And oops... I'm running out of morning!

I'm shocked.

Well, made the trip to Boston last night when the weather wasn't too bad. Because we borrowed my mom's Subaru, we left early and spent about 8 hours in the airport. But we made it home in one piece and were able to chill today.

Too much snow!
