Here... sort of...

Hey there -- Marianne here. Sort of.

I traveled many, many miles out of town to my SIL's place to have a shower and steal some internet.

Our town (proper) has power, but we don't. In fact, they don't expect our residential area to have power until Monday, at least. The Wendy's a-ways up the road has WiFi, so I may visit them tomorrow for a bit if need be.

All the trees here are still ice covered.

I miss flushing my potty. I miss showers.

But really, we're all good -- we have our woodstove for heat, the camping stove for cooking, and the garage for a fridge. We packed our chest freezer with ice and closed it and have our fingers crossed.

I'll be back when I can.

Oh, Marianne, I hope it's back soon... the area really, really got hit HARD, as you know.

My MIL died on Thursday night and the boys are home with their dad, but there's no power in most of that area, so things have been very challenging. I'm praying that their neck of the woods gets power back soon.

I was worried about you but glad to know all is okay minus the lack of power.

Take care, stay warm and safe.

Hugs on the power outage. I hope the freezer stuff remains frozen!

Stay warm and safe. That's more important than getting on line. Take care!

Ceri here.. sort of... After spending 3 nights without electricity or heat we finally couldn't take it so we found the one available hotel room in the closest town with power. But we're back home today with our fingers crossed that power will be restored. I can not tell people just how much this bites!!!! It may be the town shelter for us tonight!
