Of Note: Freebies, Contests and more!

Maria Zannini not only released a new eBook about living frugally called Smart Budgets for Busy People, but started a great new Facebook page called "The Frugal Way" about it -- if you're not following, you should. She shares Freebies and deals daily.

Dru Ann has a second blog called Dru's Book Musings where she introduces us to the characters from various cozy mysteries AND nearly every post has a giveaway of the book she's featuring. What a great way to find new stories to add to your TBR list!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that every tour Goddess Fish Promotions runs has a giveaway assocated. Just yesterday there were seven contests for Amazon GCs, a Visa card GC, eBooks and more!

There are regular blog hops where books, GCs and more are part of the prize -- and there are hundreds of participants! One great place to look for regular "hops" is I Am a Reader, Not a Writer. -- there's one starting on January 13th: Dreaming of Books.

And lastly, of course, Long and Short Reviews is giving away a $50 Amazon GC this month. Think of how many new books you could buy!!!

Anyone else know of places to look for freebies and giveaways? Share them in comments.

Anyone Up For A Free Book?

Of COURSE you are and I can't believe I nearly forgot to say something about this!!!

Kimber Chin -- whose book I WAS going to give away this month in my contest has beat me to the punch!

Her book Invisible is being offered up as a free download from her publisher Champagne Books to celebrate eBook Week! Woo HOO!!

SO, if you're interested (and don't miss this chance -- Kimber is an awesome author) you can get it here: eBookGuru.org or you can go throughKimber's Site

And, because Kimber is already giving this away, I'm going to offer her first book, "Breach of Trust" as my contest prize instead.

BTW, in case you DIDN'T know, it's "Read and eBook Week" (nearly over). Go here to see more folks who are giving away free stuff.

VERY cool contest....and some Rambling

An apocryphal story - the word "apocryphal" here means "obviously untrue" - tells of two people, long ago, who were very bored, and that instead of complaining about it they sat up all night and invented the game of chess so that everyone else in the world, on evenings when there is nothing to do, can also be bored by the perplexing and tedious game they invented. ~Lemony Snicket

Win Free Books!

See that banner? Do you see what it says? Yep... The Long and the Short of It is giving away a book a day, EVERY DAY in April, in conjunction with a review on the reviews blog. Most of them will be print romances in various genres, from random publishers. There may be the occasional eBook, but by and large, you'll be getting some great books to add to your keeper shelf. So stop by every day, leave a comment and see if you're lucky... are you feeling lucky? Well, are you? *G*

Please, feel free to spread the word to the world. The more, the merrier!

Spring has sprung, and you can't tell my DH any different.

Yes... yes that IS him in shorts on our riding mower on the "lawn". Next week, I'll post pictures of him washing the car in the driveway on Christmas.

Bet you think I'm kidding...

I worked on my HTML book again yesterday, and got myself utterly confused (or confuzzled, as I usually say) on the "going further with hypertext". So, I've decided I'm not going to organize my website into folders. So. There. That'll solve that problem. LOL... Actually, it could partly be the fact that I'm so incredibly tired my eyes were blurring. I'll try to understand it again when I'm feeling a little perkier.

I still love the book, though.

Tomorrow I'm interviewing an online friend about her latest release. She's a wicked talented author, folks, so you'll want to swing by!

Your Aura is Green

You're very driven, competitive, and even a bit jealous.

However, you seek out balance in your life - and you usually achieve it!

The purpose of your life: inspiring others to be better

Famous greens include: Tony Robbins, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart

Careers for you to try: Guru, CEO, Talk Show Host

That "inspiring people to be better" thing? My friends would probably call it "nagging"...LOL...

I wouldn't mind Tony Robbins' smarts, Donald Trump's money and Martha Stewart's house. But I don't want any of their jobs.
