Friday Fill-In and a Moment of Panic

"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." — Herm Albright

Today I'm being interviewed at Home Thoughts From A Broad -- also, Mandy put up "Behind the Story" late, so you can read that one, too, if you'd like. It talks about how "One Love For Liv" came to be.

I <3 visitors, so please stop by and say howdy!

=======================

For something a little different, I give you the Friday Fill-In:

1. I'm looking forward to Monday next week.

Monday is my favorite day of the week--yes, really. I am a creature of routine, and that routine is thrown off every weekend. Weekends give me ulcers. I hate them, and dread them with a deep, dark panic.

2. I don't handle change very well.

See the above...LOL...

3. Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches are something I could eat every day.

I really love PB&J. But pizza runs a close second.

4. Warmth and sunlight have been strangely missing from my neck of the woods for months!! I want them back, please..

Worse, they're calling for 6 - 9" of snow tonight. We're really, really close to breaking the all time record for snow up here, only 15" to go. We've had more than 100 inches this winter. UGH.

5. NY Times Bestseller List here I come!

Nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking, is there?

6. I dislike tattoo(s).

I don't find them particularly attractive on others, especially in the extreme (like that lady on American Idol, or her boyfriend who has them covering his face like Darth Maul), and the thought of anyone coming at me with a needle just to draw on me? Please... still, to each his own. I have a sister covered in them.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to my husband playing hockey so that I can control the TV for a change, tomorrow my plans include shoveling 6 -9" of snow off my driveway and Sunday, I have to build all next weeks pages for The Long and the Short of It's website!

Learn anything new about me?

========================

Words to make you panic:

An IM from your biz partner, "Um, we may have a problem."

Me, "What?"

Biz Partner, "Our website is gone."

ACK!!!

Yes, folks, The Long and the Short of It disappeared for a bit last night. My hosting folks were no help (surprising? I think not), but my DH who was still at work at 8:00 p.m. responded to my IM cry for help and figured out what had happened. I fixed it, all was well. We don't know WHY it happened (and worse, it happened to me again this morning when I uploaded pages), so it could happen at a moments notice.

Did I mention I am really unhappy with my hosting company?

Your Power Bird is a Cardinal

You believe that each day is precious, and you spend your times as best as you can.

You see the wonder in small things, and you are often content with what you have.

You life an interesting, colorful life - and you bring color to those around you.

Confident and expressive, you believe you know how to live a good life. You're living it!

Hmmm... not really me, though I really LOVE the cardinal. He's so purty.

Ugh, snow! That's exactly why I moved away from the upper midwest. If I never have to see another snow-covered driveway up close and in person, that would be great. I do, however, miss the wonderful, muffled silence after a fresh snowfall, the smell of woodsmoke in the cold air, and hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire. I hope you get to have a few of those things tomorrow. :)

A scary glitch on a Thursday night! Yowsa! The idea gives me the shivers. Ugh.

Hope your Friday is a good one. Better than your Thursday night, anyway. :)

Your first two answers are the polar opposite of me :) Well, #6, too! To each their own, tho, if all the people in the world were the same it'd be such a boring place!

I'm with you on #3, tho!

Thanks for playing!

Oh, and my Power Bird is an Eagle
You are spiritual and able to soar to great heights. You are a true inspiration, and many people look to you for guidance. And you are quite demanding in relationships... but you're worth it. People know that you will become even greater than you imagine.

Hmmm...

Oh, that's the internet for ya. And yeah I would have panicked too.

My head is dizzy at all your self promo efforts. If I had to do anything remotely like that I'd find a place somewhere to hide and never come out again.

Thanks for stopping by my Fill-in for this week!

Sorry to hear you are trapped in snow. Where I'm at in central WA, the valley snow melted, the surrounding hills/mtns still have some, and we had temps in the 50s all week. I'm already going barefoot during the day! I hope this is the last of your snow for a while.

Best of luck with #5 - wishful thinking is what gets you on the right track, afterall.

Who's your hosting provider? I use GoDaddy, and never have any problems with them.

I hate glitches like that.

You LIKE mondays? Ack! But, I agree with you on change. I don't like it. Best Wishes for the NY Times list! That's what Hope, Dreams and Possibilites are for!
And if you lived in SC you'd only see snow maybe every other year or so, and never more than 4 inches a year. *g*

My Power Bird was a Cardinal. Which is nice, because I adore watching them and have for years.

Have a fabulous Friday!

I don't think it's at all accurate, but it's better than being a vulture which is what I got the first time around. Then I went back and changed one answer where I waffled between two. Whew!

We've had icky snow all day here. It will only be 3 - 5" at most, though. Apparently, I'm a cardinal, too. I was sure I'd be a parrot.

Wait a minute... is this the same company I just signed up with???? *gulp*

Yes, I'm truly looking forward to this-the 3rd-storm this week. It's just perfect.

And I'm an eagle.

I wish you much luck with both 4 and 5!

Mondays? Really? I thought everyone hated Mondays. Since I work shifts, Mondays are no different than any other day because my 'weekends' are usually not Saturday/Sunday.

Ack. Sorry again for your behind the story posting late in the day, rather than first thing. I did yell at my hubby later that night for ending up in the ER that morning and tossing my game off.

LOL

Poor guy.
