Tired...

I had burned my candle at both ends, and I was weary of these perilous and precarious adventures which had led me - whither? I was experiencing mental fatigue, a paralysis of my energies, and all my faculties were diminishing ... ~ "The Mission," Chapter 3

Okay... I shoveled and was tired. I made muffins (mmmm.... apple oat)... I gabbed with Judy (still am, actually)... I told her I was so burned out and sick of talking about myself because of all the interviews I've been doing and didn't know what to talk about today.

I didn't like the Booking it Through Thursday -- it's asking about leisure time. I don't have leisure time.

I have a DD I'm homeschooling, a dog I'm training, writing I'm doing, editing what I write, maintaining the LASR website, editing and posting reviews, working on promoting my book, cooking, cleaning... I can't remember the last time I actually just took a break.

I'm not complaining at all, but some days I just empty. That's me today.

======================

I did write another 200 or so words yesterday on my mystery. Not as much as I need to, but better than nothing.

=======================

"One Love For Liv" releases in five days. Holy cow.

I'm Katherine Parr (full results on my blog). I hope you're feeling better/more awake. Sounds like you could use a little downtime.

I'm Catarina of Aragon, too, regardless of whether I wanted to be a restaurant reviewer or a hollywood diva. Some days, you can't escape destiny.

I hope your household is recovering, and you are getting some well-deserved rest.

Oooh take a nice break. Do something special for yourself. I'm going to get a manicure next Friday and I am way more excited about this than I should be.

I'm Anna of Cleeves. Marianne - take. a. break.

Really.

You'll feel so much better. And all of that can go away for a day, except, maybe Dakota's training. DD will thank you for it, too! ;-)

You need a nap. Or something silly just for you to make you laugh. I've been there. Take time for you.
I hope all the animals feel better now.

Another Catarina here.

I don't know where you get your energy. I just spent a wonderful half hour getting ice off the top of my van. I need a garage.

I'm Catarina of Aragon, too!

One of my distant cousins is related to Katharine Parr (on the other side of her family). I thought that was so cool.

I'm Anna of Cleves!

Anna of Cleves got the royal shaft. She came all the way to England to become the fourth wife of Henry VIII. Once married to Anna, he refused to consummate the marriage, and called her the "Flanders Mare". Talk about a burn, considering that by this time, Henry was the fattest man in England and had a rotting syphilis sore on his leg.

Anna was miffed, but she was too sensible to let it ruin her fun. She was given an annulment and a fat yearly allowance, and she threw extravagant parties and dined on delicacies for the rest of her life.
