This morning, I had all sorts of clever things to talk about, but I got derailed when I discovered that the LASR website was acting hinky -- some pages will load, others won't, some pages load text but not images... well, you get the idea.
So, I jumped on live chat with my webhost and ended up online with them for a good thirty minutes. I'm still not certain the hinkiness is fixed, as the tech support person had me update the servers that my domain pointed to, and that can take 24 - 72 hours to update completely across the 'net.
So, if you try to get on to it today, and can't, that's why. Have you been reading my author spotlight entries? Those you CAN access, because they're being hosted on blogger.
In any case, with all the hullaballo, I'm behind.
Oh, and just a note to tech support people everywhere: Calling someone by name, constantly -- it sounds really, really condescending.
I'd ask a question and get: Yes, Mariane or No, Marianne ... over and over. Drove me wonky.
**sigh**

Last night I had this dream and it was a little scary until somehow, in the middle of it, my more conscious brain thought -- "This would be a great plot for a romantic suspense novel" and then starting taking notes. It was the strangest feeling to have this movie playing in my head, and an observer watching.
Am I weird? Does anyone else do that? I can't be alone in my oddness, can I?
But, I was terribly disappointed when I woke up before it was over. Guess I'll have to make up my own ending.

I had a neighbor buy a copy of "One Love for Liv" last week -- and she called me yesterday. Said, "I got home and started reading, and didn't put it down until I was done. My husband had to cook dinner! I was totally invested in the characters and I want to know what happens next. Are you writing a sequel?"
That was my warm fuzzy for the day.

I know I had more, but I can't think of it. Next time, I'll make notes. Happy Thursday!

You Are "Time After Time" |
![]() If you were transported back to the 80s, your life would be all about reflecting. You're a serious, earnest person - and you couldn't help but think a lot about how things were back then. You'd spend a lot of your time writing, researching, and learning. You would either become a social anthropologist - or a crazy guru with a knack for predicting the future. |
A crazy guru! That would be fun...
