I Should Have Named Her Socks

“Fanaticism for anything is addiction.” - unknown

Dakota has a little addiction... she can't help herself, she knows she's being naughty, but they call to her and she can't resist their siren's song.

Socks (though I admit she has an equal fondness for slippers).

She doesn't chew them. She snuggles with them.

We keep our laundry in the closet, but leave the closet door open so she'll sneak in and nab a sock, several times every day.

Sometimes I'll just find socks laying around (her version of "Dakota was here").

But mostly I find her napping happily with one.

Do they have "Socks Anonymous"?

====================

I wrote nearly 2000 words yesterday. I *need* to write about 2200 words a day to catch up by the end of November, so I'm aiming for more today. Instead of running errands during DD's art lessons, I'm going to take the time to write. DH and I have a date tonight while DD is at a friend's house, so that time is gone and my Thursday is packed, so I'm hoping to get twice what I need.

We'll see. I'm marching on, regardless...

You Were One of the Emo / Goth Kids

When you were in high school, you were still figuring out what you were all about.

You underwent an intense period of self exploration, and you learned a lot about yourself.

You may have felt like a bit of an oddball, but luckily you had friends who were in the same boat as you were.

You probably aren't very goth or emo these days. However, you still are likely to see things from an alternative point of view.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... no. I was the one of the "get along with everyone, good student, average joe, drama nerd" kids. I loved school, had plenty of friends from all walks of life and really actually quite enjoyed being there.
