A Haiku

The only problem
with Haiku is that you just
get started and then

What's a Haiku to describe YOUR day?

=============

You Are a Couplet

You're not much for words, so you write a little ditty.

It might not be a novel, but at least it is witty.

  1. I do love Haikus, love to read them, love to write them. A good school for word economy. Here's a Haiku I posted on TribalBlogs. Since the weather in Paris hasn't changed, I'll put it in my comment, too, if you don't mind.

    'The streets are liquid
    under the blazing ball’s stare…
    A fountain sparkles'

    Best to you!

  2. Pool Beach Park Pool Beach
    Summer's crazy schedule
    Wouldn't change a thing

    Happy Monday!

  3. You Are a Sonnet
There's no way we would write a whole sonnet for you
So you'll have to just believe that our love is true

You are a romantic at heart with a beautiful spirit
You should embrace who you are and never fear it

  4. Dieter, I know my Haiku aren't really true to form, but it's fun trying to squish an entire story into so few words. Thanks for sharing yours!

Keri, I want YOUR day!! *G*

    Mom, no Haiku?

  6. You Are a Limerick

It may seem simple to be so clever
But writing you is quite an endeavor
You are known to be a bit naughty
But no one would consider you haughty
And people will talk about you forever

    I don't think so...

    Here's my haiku:

    Bit by a deer tick
    Bulls-eye on my mid section
    Antibiotics!

    Rain on a Monday
Peace and quiet in my house
    Time to write my blog

  7. A haiku was left as a clue in the murder mystery I'm reading. :)

  8. I could never connect to haiku in school. Although I do like to write poetry.
